The history of Spriano
begins in 1923, at the very initial stages of development
of instrumentation, with 25 employees in Milano downtown.
The founder of the company was Guido Spriano, born in
Piedmont, fore-runner of the modern self-made man, who
had been considering already for many years the production
of thermometers and pressure gauges as his chosen industrial
activity.
In 1936 Spriano created, first in Italy, the modulating
pneumatic controller, bringing a positive technical
improvement to the rubber, petrochemical and food industries.
During the second world war, Giuseppe Marzorati went
into partnership with Guido Spriano bringing competence
and experience in the field of trade and organisation,
thus giving the programs a long-range scope. Taking
advantage of the market recovery, the Company renovated
its plans, enlarged the technical office and improved
the sales department, creating an agents network.
