The Main Benefits of using Composites material:
Corrosion Resistance - Superior compared to stainless steel, in particular with saline, chlorin, or H2S which occur in offshore environments.
Tension & Compression Strength - Approx. 20 times stronger than steel with much greater safety factor.
Density & Weight - About 20% lower than steel for the same thickness; significantly reducing handling requirements.
No Deformation - Composites do not deform under high loads.
Low Thermal Conductivity - Only 1/60 that of a steel product; preventing the effects of heat and fire.
Non-Sparking/Frangeable - Composites can be installed in any hazardous area without the need to shut down costly process.
Excellent Insulators - Do not conduct electricity therefore do not cause signal interference and do not require earthing.
Properties Flexibility - Can be tailored with the proper selection of the right resins. Weathering and fire resistant characters can be enhanced. All classes of materials can also be supplied in options which provide superior anti-slip, anti-sparking, and anti-pitting applications.
Very Low Installation Costs - Typically 30-40% less than installing steel. Composites are easily cut and drilled using metal-working tools. Unlike steel, composites do not need to be deburred. Cut and drilled edges do not need repairing with galvanizing paint.
